Dunfermline helps customers during the postal strike

The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has announced further nationwide postal strikes. The first day of the strike is Thursday 29th October.

Many Dunfermline customers communicate with the Society via the Royal Mail postal service and there will inevitably be concerns about how the forthcoming strike will affect the payment of bills or other urgent customer mail.

Unfortunately, some mail you receive from the Society may be late arriving as a result of the strike, but we have taken measures that should ensure any delays are minimal. The good news is that any mail needing to be sent into the Dunfermline can be taken into one of the Society's branches. The branches will use the internal postal system, which does not involve Royal Mail, as it will remain totally unaffected by the postal strike. So if you have urgent mail needing to get to our head office you can go to any local Dunfermline branch and be sure it will get through.

We understand that there may be questions about some of the Society's services:

Maturing Fixed Rate Bonds and Fixed Rate ISAs

Customers can return maturity instructions to any Dunfermline branch. These will then be forwarded to the administration teams for processing.

Of course, using the postal service is not the only way customers can communicate with the Society. You will also be able to telephone the Dunfermline in the usual way.
